Using Key Search Words In Your Photos

Have you ever searched for something on the Internet and used Google Images (or similar) and found an image of what you were looking for? Of course you have. So if you want your images to show up on Google Image be sure to save your photo using a key word within the description.

The generic sample I've used in my live seminars is the word "bananas". Of course there are a zillion that come up. But if you wanted your local community to find your picture your description should be "(your city) bananas"; you get the idea. When saving photos it usually defaults to a number, something like: untitled-5, or whatever. Most people would then change this (some don't though!) to something like "bananas" and their picture gets lost in the sea of "bananas" on the Internet. By choosing a better description name using: Duluth MN Bananas, My Company Name Bananas, etc., you are narrowing it down a bit.

OK, here's a real life example. For one of my opportunity sites/businesses I created a photo to use on Craigslist and similar places on the web (such as my own blogs: www.terscott.com/blogs for example). Now I know that you can link your images on Craigslist to a website so the reader can just click on your photo, but I usually add the web address inside the photo so the reader can see it and type it into the address bar and go from there. So, here's my picture that I'm saving:

Note the wording in the description. I know that people are searching DFI so I have that. And since I know that DFI is about selling "vacations" from home, I almost did not put "vacations" in the phrase. But I stopped and put myself in the minds of those searching and decided to add the word "vacations".

That's it for today. To learn more about my Web Tips Online course, click on the image above. And since I mentioned the DFI opportunity here today, if interested in making large sums of money from home (truly part time) I may still have a need for someone in your area. Just click on that image below.

Make it a great day!
